Move Tracking Number to Another Campaign

Moves one tracking number to another campaign in the same account. If the destination campaign is in a different group, the number moves to that group too.

Before you call

source_campaign_id: the campaign the number is in now. This is a safety check; the move is refused if the number is not in this campaign.

destination_campaign_id: the campaign to move into (find it with GET /campaigns). An active number can only move into an active campaign.

move_call_history: whether past activity moves too when the group changes. Defaults to false; see below.

What happens
All changes are made together. If anything fails, nothing changes.

The number is linked to the destination campaign. Its destination, whisper, recording, schedule, call actions, webhook and audio prompts keep working.

If the group changes, the number's IVR and geo routing and its usage counts move to the destination group as well.

Campaign reports follow the number, so its past calls show under the destination campaign either way.

Call history (move_call_history) applies only when the group changes

false (default): past calls, recordings, SMS conversations and pre-call records stay reported under the old group.

true: they move to the destination group (recordings, SMS and pre-call records also move to the destination campaign), with their call and minute counts. earliest_affected_call_date in the response is the oldest call moved.

If both campaigns are in the same group, there is nothing to move and the response returns move_call_history: false.

Not moved: tags, scorecards, DNI sessions and webhook delivery history. Webhooks, audio prompts, geo locations, custom sources and AI voice agents used by the number stay owned by the old group.
